Mark Harding

HMS co-director Mark Harding is an award-winning journalist, publisher and television producer. Formerly managing editor and publisher for the leading custom publishing agency Pacific Client Publishing, he knows all facets of the publishing process and understands that every client has a separate vision and therefore different requirements.

Mark is also a highly credentialled Melbourne journalist. He worked at The Age for ten years before moving to the The Herald, where he wrote the news column On The Spot. With the merging of The Herald and The Sun he was Sports Editor for the Herald Sun and then Chief Sportswriter on the Sunday Herald Sun. He became chief sportswriter for Australia's first weekly magazine Sports Weekly and won numerous awards for his stories on football, golf, racing and Olympic sports.

In television, Mark produced the weekly television show Racing World for seven years and several boutique racing series, including the acclaimed Champions of Racing series for Sportsbrand Media, Jump, Spring and Spring Classics.

More recently, he has partnered with Intrepid Production to produce various Olympic and international football series, including Football's Greatest Stage, Countdown to Rio, Guide To The Games, When The Games Begin, Gold Rush, The Road To Brazil, Destination Brazil, The Road To Russia, Destination Russia, Football Headliners and National Icons.


Karen Harding

HMS co-director Karen Harding is an award-winning writer and editor. She won the 2018 Australian Golf Media award for Best Reportage on Women's Golf and in her role as co-editor of the Golf Victoria magazine is the only female editor of a magazine covering both men's and women's golf.

Karen works across the range of HMS publications as well as outside projects. She was the author of the historical section of Women's Golf Victoria's Centenary Address Book and has prepared a number of feature supplements on golf for The Age newspaper. She has written the player profiles and feature articles for the official program for the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open and has written for Beyond the Fairways, the online magazine of Drummond Golf, as well as for Golf Victoria magazine before taking on the role as co-editor. She has also written for Quest Kudos magazine and others on various lifestyle and business topics.

Karen is experienced in project management as well as editing and understands custom publishing and the special needs of clients in fulfilling their marketing vision.

Her organisational skills and business acumen are useful in managing the company's day to day operation.


Evan Harding

Evan Harding is a talented journalist and television producer with broad local and international experience. He currently produces the sports magazine program The Shortlist for Inverleigh Productions and is a writer, sub-editor and proofreader for Golf Victoria Magazine and other HMS projects. Evan has a Bachelor of Commerce (Sport Management/Marketing), a Graduate Diploma of Journalism and a Masters in Global Communication.

He worked for Sportsbrand Media Group as Associate Producer and later Producer on the ICC Cricket World show and produced the very successful Players Lives before spending six years in London where he managed website content for a major food company and a global online retailer. Since his return he has produced international football series Dream Teams and Clubland for Inverleigh Productions and has used his extensive sports knowledge to work across numerous other shows including Life's A Pitch, The Football Review, FIBA World Basketball, Sport Confidential, Road To Russia and Destination Russia.
